PCPitt PT Representative
My name is Lauren Marrone and I am a PCPitt PT representative for the University of Pittsburgh DPT class of 2022. PCPitt is Pitt’s chapter of an organization called Primary Care Progress which seeks to bring students from various health care professions together and advance health care through improving interprofessional relationships. I grew up in Lansdale, PA on the other side of the state and completed my undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Science here at the University of Pittsburgh. I chose to pursue physical therapy because I have a passion for working directly with people and improving the quality of their lives in healthy active ways. I am open minded about the area of physical therapy I will end up in and anticipate that I will have a hard time deciding since I have enjoyed every setting I have been exposed to so far. In my free time I enjoy staying active by biking around Pittsburgh and going to the gym as well as exploring Pittsburgh with my friends and going to various Pitt sporting events. I am very excited about my future to apply everything I am learning in the coming years here at Pitt and discover where physical therapy takes me. Hail to Pitt!
