Kimmie Berkovich

Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association Liaison

My name is Kimmie Berkovich and I am one of the PPTA Student Representatives for the DPT Class of 2022. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and I graduated in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, Pre-Physical Therapy from Cleveland State University. Physical therapy has played an important role in my life- from enabling me to return to competitive figure skating after every injury to helping me regain normal daily functioning after my concussion- and I am looking forward to paying it forward. Although I have not decided what my area of interest is, I am excited to learn about the different specialties within physical therapy via my education here at Pitt as well as through valuable clinical experiences. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, reading, and staying active. My hope as both a PPTA Student Representative and a future physical therapist is to encourage my classmates to become more involved in the PPTA and APTA as well as to promote and advocate for the future of the profession. I am excited to be at Pitt and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
