Liaison To Student Advisory Board
My name is Erica Vuocolo and I am the Liaison to the Student Advisory Board for the University of Pittsburgh DPT Class of 2022. I was born and raised in Suffield, CT, a small town in Northern Connecticut. I graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and an honors minor. I was in the 3+3 DPT program at Sacred Heart, but I decided to apply to other programs, and I could not pass up the opportunity to attend Pitt’s well-renowned program after I was accepted. After my first semester at Pitt, I am positive that I made the right decision. The clinical experiences, faculty and resources have allowed me to branch out and become a better student, learner and aspiring PT. In my free time, I love working out, shopping and spending time with friends and family. Physical Therapy was always appealing to me in that I will have the opportunity to help others make lifestyle changes and return to activities they truly love. Additionally, PTs see their patients more frequently than other healthcare providers, allowing us to develop a stronger relationship with patients. I am beyond excited for my next few years here, H2P!!
