Cassie Ruby
Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association Liaison
My name is Cassie Ruby, and I am a PPTA representative for the University of Pittsburgh Class of 2022. I grew up in the south hills of Pittsburgh and I come from a family of Pitt fans and alumni. So, I am very excited to be pursuing my DPT at the University of Pittsburgh. H2P!!! The first thing I did when I found out I was accepted into a physical therapy program, was join the APTA and PPTA. I would like to help others see the value in being involved in these organizations and help my classmates raise money to attend an APTA CSM conference.
I completed my Bachelor’s in Exercise Science at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and this led me to my passion of teaching exercise. In my free time, you can find me teaching Pilates, bounce or TRX at PHI Pilates, or spending time with my family and friends. In the future, I see myself working in the wellness setting helping patients find safe and effective ways to exercise and transition back to their daily activities. I have a passion for helping others improve their posture and movement patterns to maintain optimal muscle balance and function.
