Brian Lovasik

Vice President

My name is Brian Lovasik and I am the Vice President of the University of Pittsburgh DPT Class of 2022. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and I attended Pitt for my undergraduate degree as well, graduating in 2019 with a BS in Rehabilitation Science, minor in Spanish, and a certificate in Pathokinesiology. I love watching and playing sports, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, and Panthers. I also enjoy the outdoors and exploring new parts of the city. My love for sports and interest in medicine is what exposed me to the field of physical therapy, but it was my experiences in undergrad that made me set on pursuing it as my career. As a volunteer, I loved building relationships with patients, getting to see what a positive impact physical therapy had in their lives, and ultimately celebrating their accomplishments with them. I am excited to continue to do this for the rest of my life as a physical therapist! My interests in the field include orthopedic, sports, or neurological physical therapy. Travel physical therapy is also something that is intriguing to me. Wherever I end up, I know that my degree from Pitt will enable me to be a master clinician and have a lasting impact on all of my future patients’ lives. Hail to Pitt!
