Andrew Ganung
PCPitt PT Representative
My name is Andrew Ganung and I am a Primary Care Progress Physical Therapy Representative for the University of Pittsburgh DPT Class of 2022. I am originally from Wexford, PA, which is about 15 miles Northwest of Pittsburgh. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Pre-Physical Therapy and double-minored in Biology and Chemistry. My passion for Physical Therapy can be traced back to my early fascination with exercise. With a long history of injuries, I understood the frustrations that accompanied debilitation. I came to understand that restoring functionality has incredible value and I am excited to be part of a field that helps others to return to their desired lifestyles. Once I was accepted into Pitt’s DPT program, I knew that I could not pass up the opportunity to continue my education at a prestigious institution in my home town. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, reading, and hanging out with my friends and family. Through the University of Pittsburgh, I feel that I am maximizing my opportunities to succeed as a future Physical Therapist through the early clinical exposure, academic curriculum, and bridging the gap between the two. With that being said, I look forward to a very exciting and productive next couple of years! Hail to Pitt!
