The Monday Memo
November 17, 2014 PITT DPT STUDENTS
This week I thought it worth mentioning something unexpected that happened in the clinic.
After what had been a difficult and emotionally trying morning in the clinic, the afternoon schedule showed no signs of being any less stressful. That is until I went to work with a woman I will call Joyce. All throughout her session, she was happy to be moving and thankful for our help. But all it took to turn that entire day around was a compliment from Joyce and a thank you for doing our job.
Often underrated, one Random Act of Kindness (RAK) can easily be the highlight of a person’s day, especially when we have no idea what is going on in someone else’s life. That is why I would encourage everyone to perform one random act this week. Impact someone in a positive way, and let them have one more thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday.
SPOTLIGHT: Thank you to Becky Russell, Arielle Berman, John Schneider, Livvy Hart, Steve Betz, Mike Reeves, David Pastrana, Becky Slater, Ashley Whitehead, and Sue Staats for representing the program this Saturday at our Open House! Dr. Kelly says you all did a fantastic job!
