Hi, my name is Mike Eskay and I am proud to be one of the PPTA liaisons for the Class of 2018. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Allegheny College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Economics. Prior to my decision to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Pittsburgh my interest in research led me to spend over six years as a cardiac research specialist at UPMC and another two as a clinical molecular biologist in Raleigh, NC. My first exposure to physical therapy followed a number of sports injuries sustained while in high school and continued as I worked as a physical therapy aide during the summers while in undergrad. Although my path to this career may have been less direct than most, I know that I have found my calling in physical therapy and couldn’t imagine myself at any DPT program other than Pitt.
