Pitt-Marquette Challenge Representative
Hi there! My name is Katie Dreger and I’m from Mentor, Ohio. I graduated from the University of Mount Union in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. While there, I was a member of the swim team (Go Raiders!) and a sister of Alpha Delta Pi. I then pursued a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania. I was first introduced to physical therapy through several injuries from swimming, volleyball, and especially gymnastics. Further exposure during multiple internships solidified my interest in the field. My journey thus far at the University of Pittsburgh has provided me with additional insight regarding various opportunities this career has to offer, including continuing education courses and research experiences. Being able to continuously learn and refine my skills as I advance through both my student and professional life is, in my opinion, the best thing about physical therapy. I look forward to gaining experience in several different specialty areas, including Outpatient Orthopedics, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Women’s Health. I’m very excited to see what the future has in store for me as a professional in the field.
