My name is Rachel Divas and I am the Social Chair for the University of Pittsburgh DPT class of 2021. I am originally from West Chester Pennsylvania, but found myself drawn to the city of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh for my undergraduate career because of the many health care opportunities this school offers. I graduated from Pitt in April 2018 with a degree in Rehabilitation Science and a certificate in Pathokinesiology. Working as a Rehab Aide for UPMC the last 3 years, I realized my passions for Physical Therapy and all the amazing ways the profession helps people to get back to living their best lives. One thing I love about Physical Therapy is the wide array of opportunities available to me once I graduate. I have many interests and I am hoping to explore them more throughout my clinical experiences at the University of Pittsburgh. In my free time I enjoy working out and finding new ways to stay active. I love the summers in the city to go hiking, kayaking, to festivals and concerts. My friends and I enjoy exploring the city, going to museums, and trying new restaurants. I have loved my experiences in this program so far, and I cannot wait to see all the places that Pitt PT will take me. H2P!
