My name is Garrett Bosworth and I am the Treasurer of the University of Pittsburgh DPT Class of 2021. I grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania (“the sweetest place on earth”). I graduated from Pitt undergrad where I studied athletic training. Through this degree I got certified as an EMT-b and ATC. I think even more valuable than these certifications, though, was the experiences I had and the relationships I formed while working with so many Pitt sports teams. In my free time I’m almost always outside running, hiking, rock climbing, or just getting lost in the woods. I love working out and staying active! I think I am very fortunate that I am a Pitt DPT student. This program allows me to take a passion of mine, exercising and good health, and share it with the people that need it most. As I experience the various PT settings Pitt has to offer I’m keeping an open mind to where my professional career may take me; however, I can already sense a bias towards working with athletes or active populations. I can’t wait to apply everything I will be learning in these coming years and represent both Pitt and this profession to the best of my ability. Hail to Pitt!
