My Name is Alex Willis and I am an academic liaison for the University of Pittsburgh DPT class of 2021. I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and stayed close to home to earn my Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Colorado. After graduating in 2017 I chose to pursue Physical Therapy and came to Pittsburgh. I could spend a few paragraphs writing about why I chose PT, but to keep it short it gives me the opportunity to make a positive, and direct impact in people’s lives every day, and it’s also fun! I still have an open mind as to what area of PT I would like to end up working in, but some of my interests are manual therapy, as well as rehab for patients recovering from strokes and spinal cord injuries. In my free time I enjoy activities such as skiing, hiking, playing volleyball and I love to cook. Although I’m still not sure what a yinzer is, and still can’t drive anywhere without a map, I am incredibly blessed and excited to be part of this program, and can’t wait to see what the future holds. H2P!
