My name is Joe Dietrich. I grew up on a small farm in Hegins, Pennsylvania. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 with a degree in Athletic Training; in addition, I am a certified athletic trainer. During my time as an athletic training student, I was fortunate to work in several clinical settings, including with the Pitt Men’s Basketball and Pitt Football teams. I played several sports in high school, and my time working as an athletic training student at the Division I level greatly increased my passion about athletics. I hope to one day strengthen the relationship between physical therapists, physicians, athletic trainers, and strength and conditioning staff by working in a collegiate sports medicine program, and I’m excited to become more involved in the #1 DPT program here at the University of Pittsburgh. When I have time to take a break from the books, I enjoy playing guitar, playing and watching sports, and hiking. Hail to Pitt!
