My name is Becci Grier, and I am one of the academic liaisons for the class of 2020. I grew up in Colorado Springs, but attended undergrad in Ohio at Cedarville University where I earned a degree in Allied Health. I started swimming competitively when I was 5 years old and faced a lot of shoulder injuries and chronic instability, which is how I discovered the wonderful world of physical therapy. I love physical therapy because it enabled me to continue participating in the sport that I love, and I am excited to one day help do the same for others. When I am not studying, I like to spend my time traveling, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, and basically doing anything that involves being outside. I am incredibly excited to be a DPT student here at the University of Pittsburgh and can’t wait to see how the next few years unfold.
